Group singing classes are a fantastic way to practice your technical skills in actual performing environments, assisting in gaining experience in performing to around others and overcoming natural stage fright. Our classes are uniquely designed to allow anyone to be able to come and play regardless of their skill level while still catering for the specific needs of students wanting to improve key areas of their singing repertoire.  Think of our classes like  a Gym’s group fitness schedule- pay for a class pass and for the price of less than two individual classes a week, you can attend one or all of the below unique classes and learn a whole lot of new things to improve your voice.

Mondays – Choir ( Three Part Harmonies)
Teacher: Dean Nash (Intermediate-Advanced)

Singing is a Choir can be really fun! You will look at all types of songs, styles and genres and explore the art of singing in a choir! Learn how to sing harmonies, sing with other singers and have a better understanding of lows, middles and high voices operate together.

Tuesdays – Absolute Beginner Class

6:30-7:30 pm

For absolute beginners to learn how to sing from the very beginning. You’ll learn techniques like diaphragmatic breathing, work on hitting high and low notes, timing and learn how to sing a new song every week in a group situation. Never sung before or feeling rather shy? Watch your progress as your confidence and ability improves over the term. It’s never too late!

Tuesdays – Intermediate Performance Class (Beginner-Intermediate)

7:30-8:30 pm

For those who have a better understanding of basic singing techniques and have a desire to perform and gain constructive feedback from fellow singers. You’ll select and perform a song of your choosing and work on your delivery while gaining tips and feedback from your teacher and fellow students. You may even perform it at the end of term showcase if you’re up for it!

Wednesdays – Advance Performance Critique Class 

Teacher: Hayley Milano (Intermediate – Advanced)

An advanced class designed to give you an opportunity to have all aspects of your performance reviewed and critiqued by your peers, helping you become more aware of things like pitch, rhythm, delivery and overall performing as an artist and to be able to provide better feedback to others.

Wednesdays – High Register Class Launching in March

This class focuses on hitting the high notes; for the Mariah or Bruno Mars in us all, a class to train and hon the voice with specific training and exercises to improve your upper sound.

Fridays – Mic Technique Class (Intermediate-Advanced)

5:30-6:30 pm

A singer’s best friend, learn to love it, hold it and make it yours- while also listening to how it amplifies and projects your voice to ensure you’re heard to the best of your ability. Different styles and techniques of working with a microphone- it’s a singing lesson.

Fridays – Musicals (Three Part Harmonies)

Incorporating ensemble singing with characters acting and stagecraft, get the chance to perform at the showcase in a group performance where you have to do more than just sing- you’re learning to play the part.

Saturdays – Ear and Harmony Training

10-11 am

If you enjoy singing, doing so with a group and learning how to harmonize with each to them is one of the true joys of using your voice.  Learn how to listen for the right moments and project your voice in such a way that it compliments together the voices of others to form one unique sound.

Terms and Conditions

• All Singing Sydney students are to be punctual and conduct themselves in a professional manner.
• If you are late, no additional time will be added to your lesson.
• Singing Sydney uses Ezidebit for payments. All Singing Sydney students agree to fill out the Ezidebit forms before their first lesson (does not include voucher lessons).
• Singing Sydney requires 48 hours notice to cancel/change a lesson. If you fail to do so the lesson will be forfeited. Please note in the case of a cancelled lesson, your payment will still be debited as per usual. You must organize a make up lesson with your teacher within 2 weeks from the date of cancellation/change. After the 2 weeks your make up lesson will expire.
• Group classes are a consistent membership fee every week. A missed class will not be refunded, however, if you are absent for a period of time and will miss multiple lessons, please email Singing Sydney and we can place your membership on hold.
• If a payment bounces, a dishonour fee of $14.80 will be charged from Ezidebit. The payment will then be reprocessed in 3 days. Any communication regarding payments and Ezidebit must be done via email.
• The only time payments will be cancelled is if you are absent for a period of time and will miss multiple lessons. If this is the case students need to notify Singing Sydney via email at least a week in advance.
• It is your responsibility to keep track of your own personal payments and notify us if anything is out of place.
• To cease lesson permanently, please inform your teacher and send an email to hayley@singingsydney.com.au
• If a Singing Sydney teacher is sick a replacement teacher will be provided, or a make up lesson with your teacher will occur within the month. In the same way if a teacher leaves the school, a replacement teacher will be provided.
• Singing Sydney takes no responsibility for damages or injuries incurred before, during or after the lesson.
